Tim Huggins is the Georgia Baptist Convention's Director of Information Services, and has been since 1996. He has a passion to see churches use technology to make a difference in ministry. One of the ways they promote technology in ministry is through partnerships with organizations like Christian Computing Magazine. Many churches have benefited from the resources, information, and training the GBC provides in the area of technology.
Tim developed a love for technology early in life and wanted to study it in college. While at Winthrop University's Baptist Student Union (now BCM), Tim grew spiritually by serving in missions as a missionary. After graduation with an MIS degree, Tim served for 8 years as a programmer and ultimately the Network Administrator for the South Carolina Baptist Convention.
Under his leadership the Georgia Baptist Convention has become one of the leading state conventions in the Southern Baptist Convention in the use of technology for ministry.
